I believe that a quality education gives children never ending opportunities and enable them to reach their academic and life goals. Students don't all learn in the same way. Teachers must have a vast knowledge of different teaching techniques in order to cater to every child's specific learning needs. It is obvious that if a student is struggling to understand what they are being taught in the classroom, they need the information to be taught in a different manner. It is also imperative for tutors to know what a student's abilities, strengths, and deficiencies are. My philosophy on tutoring is that once a teacher knows what kind of learner they have and the level the student is at, they then get to work using a toolbox full of methods that match their needs and skills. Then, growth and achievements are measured and the rate at which they are learning is assessed. Finally, the tutor adjusts the lesson plans and challenges the children at the highest level they can. I have found this method of teaching to be the most effective.
